Kenneth Taylor

Chef

Kenneth was born in Oklahoma but grew up in Chicago. He is a graduate of the American Institute of Culinary Arts. He is a creative spirit at heart and uses his culinary skills and his barbering skills to create dishes and hair styles that make people happy. He was recently nominated as a contestant for Chef Carla Hall’s “Favchef Competition,” due to his ability to turn delicious food into an art form. At LifeHouse, Kenneth is responsible for preparing food and cooking meals under the direction of Maria Anderson, LifeHouse Group’s executive chef consultant. He also assists with preparing and cooking food during community events and for sober holiday celebrations.
 

While working on his recovery, Kenneth stays busy with cooking, baking, and attending lots of meetings. He “kicked the doors into recovery” in February of 2024 and has been living his best life ever since. His favorite foods are Italian, especially lasagna, and soul food. He also loves to bake – cakes, pies, you name it, and Kenneth will make it. Once he finishes his work at LifeHouse, Kenneth intends to open his own restaurant in the Chicagoland area.
